This chapter brings an end to what has been unfolding for almost 2 years now. I thank you so much for sticking with me during this time period, and I really hope you enjoy this final installment. Although it may be the version that I “scrapped”, I feel like I need to show it to you all.

This was the version of the Finale that I finalized on April 26th, 2022. I decided to try and rewrite it, but fell short. My creativity had fallen flat on its’ face, and I had little to no motivation to do what I wanted to do. False promises of release dates and a huge momentous chapter got me overwhelmed, and I didn’t see that what I was saying was unrealistic. Please forgive me. I’ll give you all a week to read the finale, and then I’ll delete the server. The server has no point of existing as of now.

Here are all the tracks (too lazy to put them inside the story, just listen to them here). I made them over a year ago, by the way.

‘Revenge’ (my personal favorite): https://www.indiesound.com/track/110853

‘Dawn Of The Shadows (Remix)’ (Remix of the track from the HAOTW 1 Finale, for all the older HAOTW fans): https://www.indiesound.com/track/110252

Everyone stood bewildered by Teapot’s entrance. Nobody believed what just happened.

“How did you escape Esper’s lair unharmed?” Ayrna asked. “And how in the world did you know to come here?”

“Long story — I’ll explain later,” Teapot answered. “Speaking of craziness, I brought someone familiar with me.”

It was Chevlin, he made his appearance by crawling out of the helicopter debris.

“Why did you crash into the base?” Esper asked. “You could’ve seriously injured Chevlin and yourself.”

“I may or may not have miscalculated the landing spot,” Teapot answered. “But that isn’t too important right now, because we’re still alive. Let’s go get that cure.”

“AYRNA, BEHIND YOU!” Weslyn shouted.

It was a shadowed one. Desperately, Ayrna brought out Sisay’s Ban Hammer and slammed it with it. It fell to the floor, knocked out.

“I just knew I’d need this one day,” Ayrna remarked.

The crew was suddenly back on track searching Tekelem Lab. It was surprisingly big and could be compared to a facility instead.

“Ayrna, put me in a hospital bed,” Detective Bardon said. “There’s one around here somewhere.”

Ayrna had almost forgotten she was carrying Bardon on her back.

“Oh yeah,” Ayrna said. “I’ll catch up with the rest of you later, take care.”

Teapot had finally found an openable door in the lab, but it was locked.

“Let me look through the glass,” Esper said. “Mmm, mmm, yes, yes.”

“I see two researchers in there,” Esper continued. “One is a boy, and one is a girl. I think those are Bardon’s siblings.”

“But how do we get inside?” Camp asked. “We don’t have any tools to break the glass.”

“But we do have us,” Chevlin answered. “We can just crash ourselves into it.”

Chevlin’s theory was shortly debunked, though. The glass was really strong, it seemed as if the only option was to get a key.”

“Detective Bardon has a gun, right?” Camp said. “Can’t we use it to shoot the door down?”

“Even if Bardon was here, the gun would be of no use,” Loko answered. “We haven’t seen him use it before, and I assume he’s out of bullets.”

Meanwhile…

“Is this bed good?” Ayrna asked.

“Yeah, it’s fine,” Detective Bardon said. “Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine.”

“Here — take this,” Detective Bardon said. “My gun, I’ve been reluctant to use the one bullet inside this entire time. Use it wisely, please.”

“Sure thing man,” Ayrna answered. She then walked away and met up with the others again.

With Preslee conscious, she was able to walk and move around again. She asked lots of questions, but Noah convinced her to keep her mouth shut and save the questions for later.

“What seems to be the deal here?” Ayrna asked.

“We can’t open this damn door,” Esper answered. “We need to find a key around here somewhere.”

“Seems easy enough,” Ayrna said.

Bardon’s siblings seemed to be communicating with a code, they sent the following message:

“hhhh h m i hih hi hiih hiih h ihh m hhi hhh m hh ih hhh hh ihh h iihhii m ihhh hhi i m hii h m hhhh hi hhhi h m ihh h hhhi h hihh iii hiih h ihh m hi m ihih hhi hih h hihihi”

They also sent this:

“- …. . / … …. — — .-. — / .. … / …. — .. — / — …. . / .-.. — — -. — . / .. … / .. — .. — / — …. . / … . — . .- -.-. . / .. … / — .-.-.-”

“I wonder what they’re trying to tell us,” Azure noted.

As if things couldn’t get any worse, Ryden suddenly fell to the ground. His face started to get covered in a dark gooey substance, one of his arms was completely gone, and all that could be seen was bone. Then… he grew double his size…

Ryden had turned into a monster, it was pretty obvious that someone or something had possessed him.

“W-What, h-h-how, t-this…” Severino was at a loss for words to describe what was currently going on.

“EVERYONE, RUN!” Trenton shouted. “FOLLOW ME, FOLLOW ME.”

Everyone ran for their lives, and Ryden chased after them.

Eventually, they found a room on the second floor, and everyone barricaded themselves in it.

*SCRATCH* *SCRATCH* *SCRATCH*

Ryden was trying to get in.

“We can’t go anywhere right now,” Erica said. “Looks like we’ll have to camp in here until Ryden leaves us alone — if ever. Shadows don’t think for themselves.”

“Anyway, Teapot, how did you get out of my lair unharmed?” Esper said. “A fascinating feat, yes. I thought those shadow guards that you had a tea party with had finished you.”

“Well, let me explain…”

I had added drops of the cure to my tea. Esper had just enough in his room to cure them all, they were cured by the time you guys left.

As a token of appreciation for curing them of their burdens, one of them offered a helicopter they once owned. About a day later, I had gotten news that Chevlin had gotten seriously injured at the hotel by an unknown murderer, and his body was found in the attic.

I quickly flew to the scene and took him to the hospital on my own, though it took a little while, he made a full recovery fairly quickly, which is why we got here on time.

“I owe this Teapot a lot,” Chevlin said. “She saved my life, I couldn’t believe it.”

A shout broke their conversation.

“I found a manhole!” Magnus shouted. “We can crawl in here, maybe we could get into the main laboratory where the cure is being worked on.”

“Why is there even a manhole to begin with?” Ayrna asked.

“I don’ know,” Magnus said shrugging. “Maybe this place is dangerous, maybe they have to travel like that.”

Everyone got into the sewer and walked, it took about 20 minutes, but they finally found another manhole, they broke through it.”

Listen to ‘The Cure’ when reading this section: [PLACEHOLDER]

They had entered the room where Kelly and Bardun were trapped. There laid a potion — the cure.

“We’ve been trapped in here for so long, it’s nice to see some survivors,” Bardun said. “You guys are looking for the cure, right?”

“Yes,” Esper said. “We walked from the snowy mountains ALL the way here just for this very moment, to save the ones that have been affected.”

“Yes, yes,” Kelly said. “We currently have two cures.”

“That’s all we need!” Noah said. “We came here to cure Tabithea and Maior.”

“Alright, let me grab the cures for you guys,” Kelly said eagerly. “The results on these cures have been positive so far, they reduced the aggressiveness of the patient that was shadowed.”

*CRASH*

“OH NO!” Camp shouted. “YOU DROPPED ONE OF THE CURES.”

“You’ll have to choose between Tabithea or Maior,” Bardun said depressingly. “There’s no other way around it, sadly.”

When everyone started discussing who to cure, Ayrna suddenly dropped the news.

“I don’t know if this is the right time, but…” Ayrna said. “…I’m infected.”

Everyone froze.

“You’re joking, right?” Loko said. “Please tell me this is a joke, a terrible twisted one.”

“Do you not remember?” Ayrna replied. “Ella is shadowed now — she attacked me down at that lair where we defeated the two men.”

“Esper, since YOU’RE the one who got us into this mess, to begin with, I’ll let you choose,” Trithel said. “Please make the right choices, we didn’t want to come all this way just to be let down — just to let this cycle of misery continue.”

Esper started to think about it…

Ending 1: Tabithea

“Let’s cure Tabithea,” Esper said. “From my memories with them, they were a loner and made mistakes. Similarly to me — I think they deserve a second chance.”

“Before you guys leave, let me clear the way out,” Ayrna said.

Ayrna pulled out Detective Bardon’s gun, opened the door, and immediately shot Ryden.

“There, he’s dead, his hideous shadow form is no more,” Ayrna said. “Also, I put Detective Bardon in a hospital bed — he’s just around the corner. Go check on him.”

“Are you coming, Kelly and Bardun?” Weslyn asked.

“Of course!” Kelly said. “We’ve wanted a way out of this isolated hell for so long now, anything to be with people again, especially Bardon!”

And so the crew went, Esper carefully put the cure into his pocket. They went to go check on Detective Bardon, leaving Ayrna behind to rot.. since she was going to be shadowed.

Suddenly, Sisay woke up, he was really confused, but he went and followed the crew anyway.

“How is it going, Bardon?” Azure said as she walked into his room.

“I’m feeling much better,” Detective Bardon replied. “I think I can walk again.”

“Great,” Preslee said. “We’re going to go and cure Tabithea in the snowy mountains, guess we’ll have to walk back there.”

2 days later…

Esper and Detective Bardon arrived at Esper’s lair once again. Everyone else gave up walking and went to the homeless shelter since the wiki building had gotten burned down.

“This is where all hell broke loose,” Esper said with a cold tone. ‘’This is where my deepest regrets lie.”

They didn’t need to go far to find Maior and Tabithea, as they were near the entrance, shadowed, and on the brink of death.

“You have the cure?” Detective Bardon said.

“Yes, I do,” Esper answered.

Esper walked up to Tabithea and gave them the cure. It took about 20 seconds for them to transform back to normal.

“What happened to me?” Tabithea said. “Why am I here next to Maior?”

“That’s a story for another day,” Esper answered. “Now come with us, we need to feed you.”

Later…

Detective Bardon, Esper, and Tabithea arrived at the Itcjs Gavs homeless shelter.

“We’ve done the job,” Esper said. “Tabithea is back. Do them a favor and get them tidy, being out on that mountain for so long does something to a person.”

“We’ll be sure to do that,” Noah said.

“I must leave for good now,” Detective Bardon said. “Remember that I still play a huge role as a detective in this very city, I need to report back to work. I hope to see you sometime in the future.”

“Bye!” Weslyn said. “Thanks so much for the help.”

“Aren’t you going to leave as well, Camp?” Sisay asked.

“This journey has proven that being with people is quite beneficial, I’ll stay with you guys.” Camp answered.

“I’ll go my own way,” Magnus said. “I need to start a new life, a positive one.”

And like that, Magnus left.

“Here’s to a brighter future!” Teapot said.

Ending 2: Maior

“Let’s cure Maior,” Esper said. “Maior is smart and could help us get out of tight situations.”

They went to go check on Detective Bardon.

Ayrna secretly crept out of the laboratory room and to the place Ella was. She pulled out her pink bottle.

“This bottle does not only make people fall in love, it can also cure two people,” Ayrna said to herself. “I’m going to use this on myself and Ella, I don’t feel like telling the crew.”

Ayrna then drank one-half of the bottle and gave the other half to Ella.

“I guess I’m going to be gay now,” Ayrna said as Ella was turning back to normal.

“Hey Ayrna,” Ella said once she could talk again. “What are you doing here, and why am I here?”

“You got shadowed,” Ayrna said. “Shortly after, the crew found the cure and used it on Maior. Though, I found this mysterious pink bottle at the hotel, and used it on both you and me, as there was enough in here to cure two people.”

“Amazing!” Ella replied. “Also, you’re so beautiful, Ayrna.”

“Rats, the effects of the pink bottle are getting to her.” Ayrna thought to herself.

“Since I don’t want anybody knowing we’re cured, let’s just abandon them and become wayfarers,” Ayrna suggested.

“I like that idea,” Ella replied. “Let’s leave this wretched place now.”

Listen to ‘Crashing Down’ when reading this section: [PLACEHOLDER]

The place suddenly started tumbling down on Ayrna and Ella. They were lucky to be alive when it all ended, but the exit was blocked.

Suddenly, voices started to take over Ayrna’s head.

“Ayrna, come on, make a deal with me!” The voice said quietly.

Ayrna passed out, and the next moment was inside a mysterious place none other than ???.

“Hello,” ??? said. “I notice you’re in quite a predicament right now, do you need help?”

“First of all, who are you?” Ayrna asked. “And second of all, how are you supposed to help me?”

“Who I am is not important,” ??? said. “And I have powers no person will ever have, just take my word for the fact that I can help.”

“How about we make a deal,” ??? said. “If you kill Ella, I’ll teleport you out of the base and outside where you can travel all you want.”

“NO!” Ayrna said. “I want someone to come with me, I don’t want her dead.”

“It’s either that or die trapped.” ??? said.

Ayrna thought about it.

“Okay, fine,” Ayrna said. “Just know that I’ll regret this for the rest of my life.”

Suddenly, Ayrna woke up. She saw Ella, puzzled and confused by why Ayrna had passed out. Ayrna pulled out her scythe and beat Ella up with it until she died.

Then, a bright light took over Ayrna’s sight, and she was outside.

“Well, time to start a new life,” Ayrna said. “New people, new home, new job, new everything…”

Esper walked up to Maior and gave him the cure. It took about 20 seconds for him to transform back to normal.

“What happened to me?” Maior said. “Why am I here next to Tabithea?”

“That’s a story for another day,” Esper answered. “Now come with us, we need to feed you.”

Detective Bardon, Esper, and Maior arrived at the Itcjs Gavs homeless shelter.

“Bye!” Weslyn said. “Thanks so much for the help.”

“Aren’t you going to leave as well, Camp?” Sisay asked.

“I’ve got many things to do, my friend,” Camp answered. “I’m sorry, but I have to leave too.”

“I’ll go my own way too,” Magnus said. “I need to start a new life, a positive one.”

And like that, Magnus and Camp left.

“Well, that sucks,” Preslee said. “Well, here’s to a brighter future, I guess.”

Ending 3: Ayrna

“Let’s cure Ayrna,” Esper said. “I know we came all this way to cure other people, but she has helped us so much, I’d feel bad abandoning her.”

“Before we leave, let me clear the way out,” Ayrna said.

“Here, drink the cure,” Esper said, giving the cure to Ayrna.

*CRASH*

“Y-You dropped it,” Esper said. “Don’t tell me all this trekking to the lab came to no use.”

Suddenly, Sisay woke up, he was really confused, but he listened to what was going on without saying a word.

“I can still be saved,” Ayrna said.

Ayrna then pulled out a pink bottle.

“I’m pretty sure this bottle contains symptoms of the cure,” Ayrna said. “Only downside is that it makes the drinker fall in love with the person they first see; it can also cure two people.”

Ayrna then proceeded to drink half of the pink bottle. She then fell in love with the first person she saw, who was Esper.

Oh no,” Esper thought to himself.

“How is it going, Bardon?” Azure said as she walked into his room.

“I’m feeling much better,” Detective Bardon replied. “I think I can walk again… *COUGH*.”

Azure then started to cough out dark smoke, she was turning in a shadow.

“IT’S MY PUNISHMENT,” Sisay shouted. “HE’S STARTING TO INJECT IT INTO YOU GUYS.”

Ayrna hesitantly gave the other half of the pink bottle to Azure, and he turned back to normal, but not before she fell in love with Erica.

Crap.” Erica thought to herself.

“Looks like we’re not going to cure Tabithea and Maior,” Camp said grimly.

“It’s life, unfortunately,” Bardon said. “Unfortunately, things don’t always go as anticipated.”

“Let’s get back to work,” Chevlin said. “I just want things to be normal again!”

“Uh, the wiki building got burned down a while back,” Ayrna said. “We can’t afford to make a new building, so we’re all unemployed now. We’re gonna have to go to the homeless shelter.”

Later…

Detective Bardon, Esper, Ayrna, and the crew arrived at the Itcjs Gavs homeless shelter.

“I must leave for good now,” Detective Bardon said. “Remember that I still play a huge role as a detective in this very cityItcjs Gavs, I need to report back to work. I hope to see you sometime in the future.”

“Bye!” Weslyn said. “Thanks so much for the help.”

“Aren’t you going to leave as well, Camp?” Sisay asked.

“This journey has proven that being with people is quite beneficial,” Camp answered. “I’ll stay with you guys.”

“I’ll go my own way,” Magnus said. “I need to start a new life, a positive one.”

And like that, Magnus left.

“Well, that sucks,” Preslee said. “Well, here’s to a brighter future, I guess.”

“Brighter?” Ayrna said. “Things ain’t aren’t gonna get brighter any time soon, do you not remember that we’re broke now?”

“Speaking of that — I forgot that we never worked for you guys in the first place,” Preslee said. “I, Trithel, and Maior were hiking that mountain when you found us.”

“You’re also a traitor,” Trithel said chiming in. “You shouldn’t have dropped the cure, we could’ve saved our friend Maior. I’m sorry — but we’re leaving now.”

And like that, Preslee and Trithel stormed out.

“Great,” Chevlin said. “Now things can’t get any worse.”

Fortunately for them, things only got better.

Suddenly, a group of people walked into the shelter. They seemed to be ordinary townspeople.

“Uh, who are you guys?” Sisay asked them.

“We’re ordinary people who live in this very city,” Their representative said. “I’ve noticed your work on saving the world from the plague, and I started a GoFundMe page. It spread like wildfire, and we raised millions, we could rebuild your once beloved wiki building with what we earned!”

“Wow,” Azure said. “Thanks a ton, this is amazing.”

A few years later…

There was a big ceremony for the grand opening of the new wiki building. Everyone in the town was invited to witness the event.

“Thanks to the lovely contributions of this town, we were able to build back stronger!” Weslyn said into the mic. “It took a few years, but it’s the best most beautiful building I’ve ever laid my eyes on.”

“It’s 50 stories tall, has purple glass, and is a lot more futuristic than the last one, advanced with newer technology, one could call it the symbol of hope in Itcjs Gavs,” Ayrna continued. “Once again, we thank everyone for their contributions to funding this very place.”

“And for the moment we’ve been waiting for — the opening!”

Sisay got some golden scissors and cut the big red ribbon blocking the entrance. It was the beginning of a new era.

Ending 4: True Ending

“Hmm,” Esper said as he was thinking about who to cure.

*CRASH*

Ryden had somehow managed to break in, and now faced the crew.

Everyone ran for their lives and went back into the manhole, the only people who stayed behind were Ayrna and Azure.

“We’re ready to fight you off,” Ayrna said while pulling out her scythe.

Azure then brought out her wand.

“I used to go to Hogwarts as a child,” Azure said. “I’m trained in all things related to magic.”

“Wait — Hogwarts is real?” Ayrna asked, stunned.

“Err — I’ll explain later,” Azure said quickly.

Listen to ‘???’ when reading this section: [PLACEHOLDER]

Ayrna then jumped at Ryden, who was now possessed by ???, and started hitting him with her scythe. Azure then used her wand to try and kill Ryden.

Ryden went ballistic, though. He scratched and punched Azure, which was perfect for Ayrna since he was now distracted. She did a sneak attack from behind, which ultimately knocked out Ryden.

“Lemme just make sure he’s dead,” Ayrna said. She pulled out Detective Bardon’s gun and shot the bullet.

*POW*

“Yeah, he’s a goner,” Azure said.

“It’s safe to emerge again!” Ayrna shouted.

Everyone slowly came out of the manhole, all of them still confused and scared by what had just happened.

“Anyway,” Esper continued. “I thought about giving this cure t-”

Azure snatched the cure out of Esper’s hand. Esper was very mad, but he managed to contain his feelings.

“Here,” Azure said. “Take it, Ayrna.”

“You’re joking, right?” Ayrna asked. “I mean, I know we’re both going to get shadowed, but I’d rather it be me than you.”

“You’ve been a very good friend of mine, you deserve it,” Azure said. “Also… I have a secret that I’ve wanted to share for so long, but I don’t know if this is the right time.”

“Good friend?” Ayrna said. “I should’ve protected you when Ryden infected you during his attack. But… I do want to know this ‘secret’ of yours.”

“I love you,” Azure said.

“…”

“I tried to pretend I didn’t love you when that guy at the hotel pointed out how close we were, but I need to express my true feelings,” Azure said. “Even though I know we’ll never get married or see each other again, offering the cure is the best thing I can do.”

“Azure, I also have a secret I need to tell you,” Ayrna said. “I should’ve used it a long time ago, but…”

Ayrna then pulled out a pink bottle labeled ‘Cure’.

“You had THIS the entire time?” Azure asked, sounding shocked.

“I found it in the hotel,” Ayrna said. “I’m still reluctant to have any of you have it, I don’t know if there are any negative side effects.”

Suddenly, Sisay woke up to the sound of this conversation and chimed in.

“I created this pink bottle,” Sisay said. “I created it in private with Severino back when this plague was still a new threat. I couldn’t figure out how to make it without the drinker falling in love with the first person they see.”

“Due to this, I never actually revealed the existence of this cure,” Sisay continued. “Oh, I forgot to mention that this cure can save two people. You could use it on both Tabithea and Maior, I guess.”

Everyone then took the time to soak in all this new information.

“WE COULD’VE JUST CURED TABITHEA AND MAIOR ALL THAT TIME AGO?” Esper screamed. “HOW COULD YOU HIDE SUCH A THING?!”

“I’m sorry,” Ayrna said sobbing, “I didn’t give it to you guys because I didn’t think it was safe. It’s my deepest burden to have kept this from you guys.”

“I understand,” Azure said. “We all mess up sometimes, it’s part of life. Now, take the other cure I offered.”

Ayrna reluctantly took the other cure, and she was no longer in danger of turning into a shadow.

“Now, I’ll use this pink bottle on Maior and Tabithea,” Ayrna said. “The rest of you — except for Azure should go to the homeless shelter in our town and try to think of an affordable place to live.”

2 days later…

Esper and Ayrna arrived at Esper’s lair once again. Everyone else gave up walking and went to the homeless shelter since the wiki building had gotten burned down.

“This is where all hell broke loose,” Esper said with a cold tone. ‘’This is where my deepest regrets lie.”

Home Alone On The Wiki is finally over.

Originally, it was meant to be a silly Piggy Wiki story that users could interact with, but I made it into so much more.

Thanks to everyone who supported me, I really appreciate the love. The server may soon perish, but I won’t.
