Detective Bardon and the crew arrived at the ‘Specter Resurrection’. They were there to give Ayrna her body back.

“Err, I have some news to break to everyone,” Azure said nervously. “Chevlin is.. *cough* dead.”

Everyone stood speechless.

“Who killed him?” Detective Bardon asked curiously.

“Um, he committed suicide,” Azure said desperately. “Anyway, we should resurrect Ayrna now.”

“Let’s go find the statue as seen on the sign,” Esper said. “I’m pretty sure that’s the resurrection area.”

“Wait — why do I feel shaking?” Kitjo said suddenly.

The shaking was indescribable but could be compared to a major earthquake. Suddenly, a portal formed in the ground, and the shaking stopped.

Once again, everyone stood speechless.

“What the fu-”

“It’s the same portal Trithel went through in the Wiki Building,” Noah had said at once. “Maybe she’s in there, we should go look.”

“You knew all of this and didn’t tell us a damn thing?” Ella said furiously.

“I-”

Detective Bardon interrupted.

“Noah and Sisay can enter the portal and find Trithel,” Detective Bardon instructed. “The rest of us can go find that statue, everything clear?”

“Yes sir!” Erica had said.

Soon after, Detective Bardon and the crew were looking for the statue in the beautiful village.

“How much longer will it be before I get a body again?” Ayrna asked. “My ghost form is slowly wilting away…”

Not long after, they encountered a few abandoned homes, mold seemed to be growing on them. The homes surrounded the statue they’ve been looking for. The statue laid atop a small hill, the crew instantly saw it and ran up to it.

“So we’re here now, but what the hell are we supposed to do?” Weslyn asked. “There are no instructions, no pads to step on, nothing. Just this ‘sacred’ statue and our tiny little brains!”

“Ay!” Trenton shouted. “We are smart, not dumb. You take that back!”

And that was the beginning of the foul relationship between Weslyn and Trenton.

“Guys, I noticed something!” Detective Bardon said at once. “There’s a little blurb on the statue…”

“Free the Metaverse, and we’ll then grant the powers you seek.”

“That makes absolutely no sense,” Ryden said.

“Probably has ties with that portal we saw earlier,” Kitjo explained. “But God knows what the hell Noah and Sisay are doing in the metaverse, let’s hope they can win for us.”

Meanwhile, Sisay and Noah were in the portal. ‘It was so weird and paranormal.’ they would later quote. It was like those wormholes, but longer. It was hard to explain.

When they reached the end of the portal, Noah and Sisay couldn’t believe their eyes. It was a huge city with amazing technology they’ve never seen before. One could even call it a futuristic heaven.

Noah and Sisay suddenly started to search for Trithel. It wasn’t that hard since Trithel was in the coffee shop nearby. When the two got somewhat close, Trithel recognized them and instantly ran up to them.

“Finally, you found me!” Trithel shouted. “You have no IDEA how long I was trapped in this stupid world for.”

“Just over a day,” Noah said. “That’s not that long. Besides, this place looks fun!”

“It WON’T be fun if we don’t take any action,” Trithel said seriously. “Mason is back, and he’s going to destroy the Metaverse’s sacred crystal. Without it, this place would just disappear, along with us.”

“But if everyone is just going to disappear, isn’t he also concerned about himself?” Sisay asked.

“Heck if I know, that guy is missing a lot of brain cells,” Trithel answered. “But that’s not the point, we need to find him and stop his evil plans.”

Finding Mason was ridiculously easy, he was laughing like a mad man on one of the skyscrapers.

“We need to get to the top of that building — and fast!” Noah said desperately.

“Doesn’t Sisay have magical powers or something?” Trithel said. “He was the one who teleported me here,”

“It just randomly happens-”

A large zap struck, and Sisay, Noah, and Trithel were next to Mason.

“Maybe it grants whatever you say,” Noah noted. “It saved you from dying when you jumped off the wiki building, right? Maybe it’ll kill Mason too.”

The three got interrupted by Mason himself.

“Well, well, well,” Mason said menacingly. “It looks as if we have the scrub, Sisay, who stopped my genius plan at the apartment all that time ago.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be shadowed?” Sisay asked. “We saw you guarding Esper’s base back at the snow mountains.”

“The R.R.S immediately went to the mountain after you and your sick crew left,” Mason said. “They unshadowed me and tasked me with destroying the Metaverse, the main thing used to hide from the shadows.”

“Mason, do you know the consequences of destroying this place?” Trithel asked. “You’ll kill everybody — even yourself.”

“I know, but alas, I do not care.” Mason continued. “It’s better to sacrifice myself for the greater good than to continue with no impact.”

“We’ve come here to kill you today,” Sisay said. “And alas, we will do so.”

Suddenly a big orb started developing over Mason’s head, and in a snap, went on him and killed him.

“Well, that was easy,” Noah said. “Now we should get out of here-”

Sisay’s powers teleported them to the resurrection shrine.

“Back after so long?” Erica said. “It’s nearly midnight! Did you ‘free’ the ‘Metaverse’?”

“I think so?” Sisay replied. “But I’m honestly so confused, does the resurrection shrine work?”

“Let’s hope so,” Ayrna said. “I’ve nearly wilted away.”

Ayrna stepped on the pad, and instead of it doing nothing, it lifted her into the sky and blinded everyone with a very, very bright light…

Ayrna got back on the ground, and she was finally in her human form.

“This feels so weird,” Ayrna said. “But I’d rather not think about it, now, let’s FINALLY get to Tekelem Peak.”

The peak itself wasn’t that far away, but when they got to the entrance, they were stopped by somebody.

A person with a green outfit, wearing goggles with a sword on their back landed in front of them.

“My name is Camp, guardian of Tekelem Peak,” he said. “You guys are looking for the cure, right?”

“That’s right!” Severino answered.

“The R.R.S is currently hiding out in the mountain, they are planning to destroy the cure, and they’re holding Detective Bardon’s sibling’s hostage!” Camp continued.

“Oh no, that’s terrible!” Detective Bardon replied.

“If you want to save the cure and find Bardon’s siblings without killing yourselves, you’ll have to come with me.” Camp said. “If any of you mess anything up, we’ll be killed.”

“Let’s save the world!” Ella said.
