HAOTW Lore Journal #2: Sisay

Here is a rough sketch of Sisay done by… me. Writers don’t have to be great artists, ya know. Anyway, there are many things to point out in this piece of art I made. First of all, you may notice that he’s wearing a crown. When Sisay was initially working at the wiki building, he was more or less a social media manager/mascot. He would often appear at many social gatherings to represent his company, and to spice things up, he wore a paper-made crown he bought from a dollar store and glued three red & blue plastic jewels onto it. He had messy hair. Of course nothing as crazy as you see here because once again, this is a rough sketch that I did hastily because of a lack of time.
While Sisay and his co-workers were out on an expedition on the now-famous “Mount Shasta” in California, he decided to rock this attire. There is not much to point out, but Sisay did really seem to be a fan of Japan. I theorize that he probably got his winter coat there or something… if you look closely, you can also see that Sisay hid his paper crown under his winter hat.

Hello, I am a “mysterious” writer and would once again like to remain anonymous. I am sorry for the loss of a signal last time, I wasn’t able to finish my statement. I’ve reconsidered everything, and I’ve decided that I won’t share what I was aiming to share last time… it’s too confidential at the moment. My next journal will be on Sisay, a silly person who I found a surprisingly large amount of information on. Without further ado, I will now shut up and proceed with what I was going to do. Please enjoy.

Date written: 3/5/22 (story-wise)

Sisay Haren (simply known as “Sisay”) was born on February 12th, 2002 (currently 20 years old) in the state of Maryland. As a child, Sisay was very strange. He often paced throughout his home, envisioning a world where he was successful and loved by all. He never stopped dreaming and took great pride in showing off his work while at school — maybe a bit too much. He eventually started getting ambushed for being a show-off, and therefore didn’t have many friends, but that didn’t stop him from getting a position at the most famous business in Itcjs Gav at the age of 18.

Unfortunately, he didn’t have much time to grow and adjust to the company, as the shadow plague had begun only a few months later. Still very young, he was dragged into the whole mess and got infected with the shadow virus not long after. But one day.. he suddenly just showed up again while the wiki building was aflame. His co-workers were shocked, they didn’t think it was even possible. From being stuck at the top of a mountain all alone to returning to Itcjs Gav in a matter of a few weeks? I may be documenting Sisay, but not even I have the faintest of clues on how he was able to do this.

And then, after they had finally reached Tekelem Peak, Sisay suddenly fainted. He woke up later on during the journey. Sisay tried telling his co-workers that he had just been teleported to some mysterious place with a really tall guy wearing a top hat, but nobody would believe him.

A rough sketch by Sisay a few months after his weird experience, depicting him in a black room with blue-lined drawings on the wall.

How could I have forgotten! He also killed Chevlin while they were checking into a hotel. Of course, as we would find out, Chevlin has survived, and when the two reunited, there was a pretty fierce argument. Apparently Sisay killed Chevlin because of something related to the North Pole? He’s a madlad, I tell you.

There’s also a theory that states Sisay has magical powers. While the wiki building was burning down, he was being chased by two men, who were presumed to have caused the fire to begin with. Sisay had no choice but to jump out of a window, and the fall was pretty far. Everyone thought that he would sure be gravely injured, but somehow, he survived. Without a scratch either. Ever since then, his co-workers were fascinated by his feat, and theorized many ways he could’ve survived. The most plausible being he had unknown powers they weren’t aware of. It wasn’t too far-fetched either, because the shadow plague itself is pretty paranormal.

Well, that’s all from the MW for now. I’m planning on documenting Magnus the demi-shadow next, and there IS a TON of information I’m proud to say has never been uncovered before. Be sure to tune in next month!

*BLEEP*

I want to release the finale during December. The Magnus journal might come alongside the finale at the same time? That’s the idea, at least. Anyway, thanks for staying so devoted to the HAOTW series. See you next time!
